Baby, Its Cold Outside!

Well, the weather here in Brookhaven has really dropped this week. Andrew and I have enjoyed pulling out not only our sweaters but our scarves, boots and winter coats too. The holiday season has truly started, I feel like ever since mid November our lives have been non stop. They REALLY do the holidays up here in Brookhaven. There is some sort of event to go to about every four days. This week alone we are gone pretty much every night. Monday we had dinner with friends and their kids, last night was "cookies and milk"-- the kids get to go and have their picture taken with Santa and have cookies and milk. One of the youth group kid's parents bought us tickets, it was really sweet. Tonight is youth group for Andrew. Thursday is the big Christmas parade, its suppose to be freezing...fun. But all the stores open up down town and have hot cocoa and appetizers. We will be going to hang out at Dr. Mooney's office...so excited! Friday night Andrew has a meeting with the Elders as we continue to bring in this new pastor. Saturday is the SEC championship game, which is of course a big deal. It has also become an anniversary for us b/c this was the night last year that we found out we were pregnant! And then Sat. night we have a dinner with the Elders, the new Candidate and his wife. Then there is Sunday and we all know how Sunday goes... busy busy busy.

Anyways, in the midst of all this chaos we found time to put up our Christmas decorations. It was a really sweet time with our new family of three. We had Christmas music playing, a fire going, and Lylah singing in the background (well, her version of singing/talking right now). Here are some pics from this week...

Last Christmas my mom got me this sweet veggie tales nativity scene. . .and she got it before she knew I was pregnant. I have been waiting all year to get it out for Lylah...she loves it! Hopefully you can hear it singing, its really sweet :)
